In the Studio with Michele

Once again Michele Webber has created a course that gently pushes the student to try different techniques and materials, almost without realising. At the end of each module it is possible to have created a painting that, whilst guided by Michele, is all your own work. She gives plenty of leeway in terms of colour choices and alternatives if you don’t possess exactly what she used in the original piece. Afterwards, if you were to share your work on the private Facebook group, you can ask for guidance on how to improve your efforts, or just bask in the supportive comments from other artists including Michele Webber in the group. Well done again and thank you.

Michele’s pre-course pdf download enabled me to prepare everything in advance rather than start a lesson and then find I need something I don’t have; her many alternatives for paint and sundries mostly eliminates that anyway. Michele’s teaching style is relaxed and doesn’t make me feel like a beginner, even though I probably am. I would recommend receiving her weekly ‘tips’ email even if you know everything and to join her Facebook community.

Michele is an excellent teacher with a great deal of experience teaching art and this shows through in the way she prepares and sets out her courses. All the challenges were doable at whatever level the student was at and Michele provided the basic skill set to get everyone started. I highly recommend her courses and her approach to teaching art skills.

This challange was all of the above. The way Michelle plans and executes her courses will simply help you to be a better painter. One of the ways she does this is to get to the heart of what she is trying to teach her students without meandering. She explains what she is going to do, then she does it then she explains how it may be different when you do it and then she moves on to the next point. Her method keeps me engaged and challenged and moving forward. I think it will you too. In the Winter Landscape Challenge, I created five lovely landscapes. Did they look as professional as Michelle's, well no, but I have hopes because each time I do any of Michelle's courses or tutorials I learn something new and I progress. What more can you ask of any course? 5 Thumbs up.

You can tell Michelle is an experienced teacher by the way she breaks down each tutorial into easy-to-follow pieces and mentions tips, tricks, and things to watch out for along the way! Directions are accompanied by valuable video demonstrations and paint-alongs, material substitutions, and with a bit of humor tossed in! I love her teaching and painting stlye. Highly recommend her tutorials!

These tutorials are a great way to practice watercolor techniques. Michele is an excellent instructor and explains how to paint each in a clear, step-by-step, way that allows even a beginner to end up with a quality painting. But they are not so simplistic that someone more experienced can't also learn from them. Creating tutorials like this takes a lot of time and work, even more to put together a full week. It shows how much Michele cares about teaching others that she would do this and make it open to everyone at no charge.

Michelle has been great as a teacher because she not just shows you demonstrations but also explains thoroughly the techniques and shows you practices on them. I have learned so much from her I definitely recommend you check out what she has to offer!

I have been folling Michele for about a year. I find her way of teaching to be exceptional and easy to follow. She is very thoughtful and insightful in her teaching. I really like her style.
